A beginner bassist's foray into the unknown

Practice: 10/03/2011 – Major Scale Pattern 2

Counting out Root-Whole-Whole-Half-Whole-Whole-Whole-Half while playing the major scale helps put space in perspective. If you use 5 frets, it also works, as I discovered tonight. Here’s Pattern 2 of the major scale:

Also, practicing with a metronome quickly dispells any notions of command over a pattern. 😉
